Thank you for choosing Sound Base Education. These Terms of Sale apply to all purchases made through the Sound Base Education Shopify store. By placing an order through our website, you agree to these Terms of Sale.
Product Information
Sound Base Education is the sole authorised distributor of Vowel Valley products in Australia and New Zealand. We make every reasonable effort to ensure product descriptions, specifications, photographs and pricing are accurate. Minor changes to product packaging, presentation or design may occur from time to time without affecting the intended educational purpose, quality or functionality of products.
Pricing
Unless otherwise stated, all prices are displayed in Australian Dollars (AUD), include Australian GST, and exclude shipping charges, which are calculated at checkout. Prices may change without notice but will not affect accepted orders.
Placing an Order
Orders may be placed:
- Through the Sound Base Education Shopify store.
- By requesting and accepting a customised quotation provided by Sound Base Education for larger orders.
Orders of 40 or more magnetic word building kits, or other large-volume purchases, may be eligible for a customised quotation. Customers are welcome to contact Sound Base Education to discuss their requirements.
An order confirmation acknowledges receipt of an order but does not constitute acceptance.
Orders are accepted when:
- Payment has been successfully processed.
- An approved school purchase order has been accepted.
- A customised quotation has been accepted by both parties.
Customised Quotations
Sound Base Education may provide customised quotations for schools, educational organisations and larger orders.
Unless otherwise stated, customised quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
Pricing, freight charges, product availability and dispatch timeframes are subject to confirmation at the time a quotation is accepted.
Once a quotation is accepted by both parties, a customised quotation forms part of the agreement between the customer and Sound Base Education.
Payment
Payment is required before any order is dispatched unless purchasing through an approved school account. Payments are processed securely through Shopify's authorised payment providers.
School Purchase Orders
Approved Australian and New Zealand schools and recognised educational organisations may submit purchase orders.
Purchase orders should include:
- Purchase order number
- School or organisation name
- Contact person
- Delivery address
- Billing address (if different)
- School email address
- School telephone number
Approved school accounts receive payment terms of 30 days from the invoice date unless otherwise agreed in writing. Acceptance of a purchase order does not automatically establish a credit account.
Product Availability
Products are subject to availability. If stock becomes unavailable after an order has been placed, Sound Base Education will discuss available options, including a backorder, suitable alternative product or refund.
Australian Consumer Law
Our products come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law. Nothing in these Terms of Sale excludes, restricts or modifies any rights or remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Product Use
Products are supplied for educational use. Customers are responsible for selecting products appropriate to their intended educational setting and learners.
Intellectual Property
Sound Base Education owns or is licensed to use content published on this website. Vowel Valley®, associated product names, trademarks and product designs remain the intellectual property of their respective owners and are supplied under authorised distribution arrangements.
Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by law, Sound Base Education's liability is limited to the remedies available under the Australian Consumer Law.
Privacy
Personal information collected during the ordering process is managed in accordance with the Sound Base Education Privacy Policy.
Changes to These Terms
Sound Base Education may update these Terms of Sale from time to time. The current version will always be available on the Sound Base Education website.
Governing Law
These Terms of Sale are governed by the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia. If a dispute arises in connection with these Terms, it will be resolved in accordance with the laws of Victoria, Australia.
